Synod Council
-
The Synod Council is the governing body of the Diocese of Central Tanganyika and is convened every three years to discuss and decide issues of policy and administration. Typically, each parish in the diocese sends 3 delegates to the Synod (the priest and 2 lay people), and is sensitive to gender representation. Retired priests are voting members of the Synod Council.

Diocesan General Council
-
The Diocesan General Council is the continuing working arm of the Synod. Its members have been selected by their parishes and voted upon at the Synod. The responsibilities of the General Council include supervising the various Boards and Communities of the diocese and deciding who will serve on them.

Integral to DGC’s operations are the following: Diocesan Bishop, Vicar General, General Secretary, Legal and Estate Officer, Education Secretary, Human Resources Officer, and Diocesan Boards.

The Board of Parish Administration coordinates and supervises the ministry of the Church in the parishes and Departments of DCT. The Board oversees the spiritual and pastoral needs of Anglicans within the Diocese of Central Tanganyika.

Area Deans report directly to the bishop regarding evangelism, pastoral care, worship, stewardship, & Christian education. Twice yearly, they report the results of these findings to the Board of Parish Administration. Secretaries of DCT Departments also present their reports to the Board of Parish Administration regarding the work & activities of their department.
